It is great to see a majority of female match officials in FairBreak Invitational Tournament 2022 says Simon Taufel in an exclusive interview. Today this inaugural tournament is going to witness a final between Falcons and Tornadoes.
In an Interview with Umpire Mentor Simon Taufel, World’s top umpire shared his thoughts about the tournament and officials who are doing their jobs by officiating all the games.
“To have a majority of our match officials’ team being women, that is a great start, and we have a female match referee as well. So, it is really looking at that holistically and trying to offer them some money cannot buy experiences and really getting them to tap into the international favor and experience at an event like this.”
“This is an international tournament, with international players, coaches, and facilities, and they have to lift to international standards. For a lot of them, this is a step up, and we really want to find a safe environment for them to step up, and if we can offer some of the benefits of our experience, job done.” Simon Taufel added.

The 2022 FairBreak Invitational T20 is an ongoing women’s Twenty20 cricket competition, taking place from 4 to 15 May 2022 in Dubai. The tournament is privately run by FairBreak Global, a company that aims to promote gender equality. Players from 35 countries are spread across six teams
