Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is starting the second phase of the U19 High Performance Skills Camp for twenty-two women U19 cricketers from Pakistan. The High Performace Skills Camp will begin on 4 November and run till 12 November of the running 2022 year.
The second phase of the U19 High Performace Skills Camp is in continuation to last month’s first phase of the U19 High Performace Skills Camp, as per the press release from the PCB. The first phase of the camp consisted of 27 players in the camp.
The camp will undergo skills and fitness training at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Center in Karachi. The camp will consist of 22 women U19 players who will hone their skills ahead of the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. South Africa is hosting the inaugural event in January 2023.
The second phase of the U19 High Performance Skills Camp will be headed by former Pakistan Test cricketer Mohsin Kamal.
According to the PCB, the players will report for the camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, Karachi on November 4, 2022. And, the nine-day camp will consist of a number of practice games for the players that will help them understand different scenarios of the match.
The 22 players that will be part of the upcoming U19 High Performace Skills Camp are:
Aliza Sabir, Anosha Nasir, Aqsa Yousaf, Areesha Noor, Syeda Aroob Shah, Dina Razvi, Eman Fatima, Eyman Fatima, Haleema Azeem Dar, Hania Ahmer, Laiba Nasir, Maham Anees, Mahnoor Aftab, Muskan Abid, Noor Fatima, Quratulain Ahsen, Rida Aslam, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tahzeeb Shah, Warda Yousaf, Zaib-Un-Nisa and Zamina Tahir
Pakistan is in the Group B of the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2023. The other teams in Group B along with Pakistan are Rwanda, England and Zimbabwe.
The inaugural T20 World Cup have 4 different groups namely Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D. Each group consists of 4 teams. The tournament will begin on 14 January 2023 and will run till 29 January 2023.
