The Grizzly Bear European Cricket International (ECI) Spanish T20I Tri-Series had its second day, today, of this season. Spain and Germany were able to add two points each today. Spain defeated Italy by 4 wickets in today’s first match while Germany defeated Spain by 36 runs in today’s second match.

In today’s first match, Italy won the toss and elected to bat first against Spain. Batting first, Italy made a total of 161 runs on board, losing four wickets and playing full overs. Grant Stewart provided a strong start to the team who made 48 runs off 26 balls in the game. Waleed Rana 25(20), Marcus Campopiano 19(18), Anik Ahmed 26(27) and Gian-Piero Meade 27(26) supported the inning of Italy to put a respectable target against Spain. Dinuk Samarawickrama was the other batter from Italy to play in the first inning of the game. He made a single run off 5 balls.

Spain utilized six of its bowlers against Italy. Lorne Burns took two wickets for the team while Mohammad Kamran and Yasir Ali took a wicket each for the team. Spain conceded 15 runs as extras to Italy.

Batting second in the game, Spain made 165/6 in 19 overs to win the game. Yasir Ali was the top scorer for Spain in the game. He made 43 runs off 40 balls. Charlie Rumistrzewicz, Mohammad Kamran and Yasir Ali took 3, 2 and 1 wickets respectively for Spain. Spain conceded 11 runs as extras to Germany, in the game.

Coming to chase the target of 132 runs in the second inning, Spain lost their openers Daniel Doyle-Calle and Mohammad Yasin for 4(15) and 13(10) respectively. Yasir Ali, in at 3, got duck. Prince Dhiman 10(18), Lorne Burns 8(12), Hamza Saleem Dar 2(5), Christian Munoz-Mills 18(22), Muhammad Ihsan 2(4), Mohammad Kamran 17(15), Charlie Rumistrzewicz 8*(7) and Raja Adeel 1(4) were the other players batting from Spain in the game. Spain was packed at 95 runs in 19 overs against Germany.
