The 23rd and the 24th matches of the inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 League have concluded today with Lumbini All Stars and Biratnagar Super Kings adding two points each in their names on the league’s points table.
The first match played today was between Lumbini All Stars and Kathmandu Knights, where Lumbini All Stars elected to bat first after winning the toss.
Lumbini All Stars made 183/6 in their 17 overs in the game which was reduced to 17 overs per side after the match got delayed. Harmeet Singh contributed the most runs for the team with 70 runs off 36 balls.
Abinash Bohara, Basir Ahamad and Anil Kharel took 3, 2 and 1 wickets respectively for Kathmandu Knights.
Kathmandu Knights got restricted to 81 runs in 15.4 overs while chasing the target and lost the game by 102 runs. Basir Ahamad was the top run contributor for the team with 22 runs off 30 balls.
Harry Tector, Ishan Pandey and Kushal Bhurtel took two wickets each for Lumbini All Stars in the game while Kishore Mahato, Bipul Sharma and Harmeet Singh took a wicket each.
Harmeet Singh was the Player of the Match for his 70(36) in batting and 1/1 in bowling.
The second match of the day was between Far West United and Biratnagar Super Kings where Far West United won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Far West United made 156/9 from their 20 overs. Binod Bhandari contributed the most runs for the team with 45 runs off 38 balls.
Shahab Alam, Keon Joseph took 3 and 2 wickets respectively for Biratnagar Super Kings while Raj Nannan, Bibek Yadav and Rohit Paudel took a wicket each.
Biratnagar Super Kings made 158/4 in 19.3 overs to win the game by 6 wickets. Rohit Paudel was the top run scorer for the team with 60 runs off 42 balls.
Karan KC, Prakash Jaishi, Noor Ahamad and Hashmatullah Shahidi took a wicket each for Far West United.
Rohit Paudel was the Player of the Match for his 60(42) in batting and 1/7 in bowling.
