
Singapore Women are currently touring Cambodia for a 5-match bilateral WT20I Series with the hosts.
The first match of the Singapore Women tour of Cambodia was held today where Singapore Women won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Cambodia Women made 72 runs in the first inning before they got all-out in 15.3 overs. Pech Pisa single-handedly led the team to the total after Cambodia Women faced a strong downfall in the starting order with 3/6 on the board in 5 overs. Pech Pisa contributed 43 runs in 41 balls in the journey and was the only batter to score double-digit runs in the game.
Ada Bhasin took five-for from Singapore Women with Dhwani Prakas, GK Diviya and Dhavina Sharma taking 3, 1 and 1 wickets respectively. Singapore Women conceded 17 extras to Cambodia Women while bowling.
Chasing the target of 73 runs, Singapore Women made 78/4 in 12 overs to win the game with GK Diviya playing for the most runs to the team with 26 runs off 24 balls.
Phoup Srey Pheak and Heal Theara were the bowlers from Cambodia Women to take wickets in the game. They both took a wicket each. Cambodia Women conceded 25 extras to Singapore Women while bowling.
With the win, Singapore Women lead the 5-match WT20I series in Cambodia 1-0.
The next match will be played on 9 February 2023 at Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh.
