PSL Fixing Scandle – Irfan and Shahzeb summoned
Reliable sources in the PCB have confirmed to Geo.tv that fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and batsman Shahzeb Hassan have been told by the PCB to appear before the anti-corruption unit for further questioning on Monday and Tuesday.
“PCB Anti-Corruption Unit has summoned Shahzeb Hassan and M Irfan for questioning in connection with ongoing inquiry into match/spot-fixing and contacts with fixers,” said the PCB source.
Both the cricketers were also questioned in United Arab Emirates during the second edition of Pakistan Super League, along with Zulfiqar Babar. However, they were not immediately charged and were allowed to continue playing for their respective teams.
The PCB’s anti-corruption unit had also confiscated their cell phones at that time and they’re still in the ACU custody.

Two other cricketers, Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan, were provisionally suspended by the PCB for their alleged links with an international syndicate that attempted to corrupt the Pakistan Super League.
It is believed that following the questioning by the PCB, the cricketers may possibly face charges for violating PCB’s anti-corruption code.
