The Colombo Strikers have revealed their captain for the upcoming Lanka Premier League 2023, and it’s none other than the vastly experienced wicketkeeper-batter, Niroshan Dickwella. This marks a significant moment for the team as they make their debut in the LPL on 30th July 2023, facing off against the Jaffna Kings in Colombo.
With an impressive T20 record, Dickwella has amassed 2,179 runs and executed 65 catches and 21 stumpings in 115 matches. Expressing his excitement about leading the Colombo Strikers, Dickwella expressed, “I feel incredibly honored to be leading the Colombo Strikers.
We have an exceptional lineup with stars like Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Matheesha Pathirana. Our approach will be to allow all the players the freedom to play their natural game. We are eager for an exhilarating season ahead.”
