This decision is followed by the circulating reports of potential threats to the game, although administrators have declared that there is no plausible public safety threat momentarily.
Heightened Security Measures in Place for India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Match in New York
Eisenhower Park Stadium, situated 25 miles east of Manhattan, is all set to host eight games from June 3 to June 12. It also includes the high-voltage India vs Pakistan match. New York Governor Kathy Hochul assured that her management has been cooperating with law enforcement agencies for several months to guarantee an uninterrupted conduct of these matches.
“I have also directed the New York State Police to engage in elevated security measures, including an increased law enforcement presence, advanced surveillance, and thorough screening processes,” said Hochul. “Public safety is my top priority, and we are committed to ensuring the Cricket World Cup is a safe, enjoyable experience.”
The security plans include an improved law enforcement presence, sophisticated surveillance systems, and exhaustive screening techniques to ensure the security of all attendees. Despite the reported threats, management has not found solid proof to back them, according to ESPNcricinfo.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has ensured fans and players that rugged security measures will be in place throughout the contest, especially at the New York venue ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash.

India’s cricket team, which will play four games in New York—including matches against Ireland (June 5), Pakistan (June 9), the USA (June 12), and a warm-up game against Bangladesh—landed in the US on Tuesday and has already kicked off their training. Notably, their star player Virat Kohli is yet to join the team as he was provided some time off by the BCCI.
Cricket West Indies, set to co-host the event with the USA, also assured the cricket enthusiasts and all participants that all essential safety measures will be taken for an uninterrupted World Cup. The increased security forms part of an extensive plan to assure the smooth conduct of the matches highlighting the devotion to the security and joy of the T20 event for everyone involved.
