Brendan Doggett has signed a two-year deal with the Adelaide Strikers, moving from the Sydney Thunder.
Doggett has taken 40 wickets in 41 games for the Thunder and Brisbane Heat, with a best of 5-35.
The 29-year-old is familiar with South Australian cricket, having been part of the State program for the last two seasons.
He will link up with his Redbacks teammates and fellow fast bowlers Wes Agar and Henry Thornton at the Strikers.
Doggett said he was excited to stay in South Australia with his young family and to play more at Adelaide Oval.
Strikers Head Coach Jason Gillespie said Doggett was a great addition to the team’s fast bowling stocks.
Doggett is the third new Striker to join the club ahead of BBL|13, with D’Arcy Short and James Bazley also moving to Adelaide.
