Harvey Brings Firepower to Adelaide Strikers for BBL|15
The Adelaide Strikers have made a significant move ahead of BBL|15 by signing dynamic batter Mackenzie Harvey on a one-year deal. After a breakout domestic season with South Australia Men, Harvey is poised to make a major impact in the Big Bash League this summer.
Harvey’s addition provides a timely boost to the Strikers’ top-order, offering a left-handed option known for his fearless stroke play and match-winning potential. The 23-year-old was instrumental in South Australia’s victorious One-Day Cup campaign, earning praise for his aggressive approach and composure under pressure.
Shaun Williams, List Manager at the South Australian Cricket Association, underlined Harvey’s all-round value to the squad.

From Renegades Debut to Strikers Switch
Harvey’s BBL journey began in 2018 with the Melbourne Renegades, where he made his debut as a teenager stepping in for Aaron Finch. That same season, he was part of the Renegades’ BBL|08 championship-winning team, a run capped off by their dramatic victory over rivals Melbourne Stars.
Last season, Harvey further cemented his reputation as one of the most athletic fielders in the league with a stunning, one-handed catch against the Perth Scorchers at Marvel Stadium — a moment replayed across highlight reels nationwide.
Now, with his move to Adelaide, Harvey is ready to take on a new challenge and help the Strikers push for a second BBL title.
“Adelaide already feels like home,” said Harvey. “Winning the One-Day Cup with South Australia was special, and I’m eager to carry that momentum into BBL|15. Playing in front of the Strikers’ fans at a packed Adelaide Oval is going to be incredible.”

With Harvey’s signing, the Strikers signal their intent to go deep in BBL|15. His explosive potential at the top of the order, paired with elite fielding and youthful energy, makes him a valuable asset in their campaign.
