Afghanistan locked horns with Ireland for the 3rd T20I, on 12th August. Ireland was leading the five-match series by 2-0. Afghanistan won the 3rd T20I match against Ireland, which leads to 2-1. Afghanistan started with a strong foundation. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the right-handed batsman, smacked a quick half-century off 35 balls. Later, the middle order gave a total of 189 runs on board to chase.
Afghan bowlers came to the crease and pushed the hosts back to the pavilion by early wickets. George Dockrell was the only player who gave a good fight and scored 58 runs. Astonishingly, Rashid Khan failed to take any wickets In this series. Fionn Hand gave a strong fight as well but it was too late then. Afghanistan bagged their first win of the series.
