The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Asia Qualifier Final commences its journey, this time with Nepal as the host country. From October 30 to November 6, 2023, Nepal will welcome seven other teams to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Final.
The competition promises to be fierce, with the stakes being the chance to secure one of two spots in the largest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ever, featuring a total of 20 teams.
The eight participating teams in this qualifier event include:
- Bahrain
- Hong Kong
- Kuwait
- Malaysia
- Nepal
- Oman
- Singapore
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
The event’s fixtures are divided into two groups:
Group A: Nepal, Singapore, Oman, Malaysia
Group B: UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Kuwait
The matches will take place over the course of seven days, with each team vying for the coveted spots in the Super Eight phase and, ultimately, the semi-finals.

The 2024 T20 World Cup qualification is a significant step for the participating teams. This time, 20 teams will be part of the event, divided into four groups of five.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight phase, where they will be divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each Super Eight group will secure a place in the semi-finals.
Twelve teams have already secured their places for the 2024 T20 World Cup, including Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, USA, and West Indies. The qualifier event in Nepal represents an opportunity for the other teams to join these elite cricketing nations on the world stage.
