The Pakistan Super League’s eighth season is rapidly approaching and the excitement is palpable. Multan is honored to host the league’s opening ceremony for the first time ever, taking place at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 13th.

An array of talented artists will be entertaining the crowd, including Sahir Ali Bagga and Aima Baig, as well as the official PSL 8 anthem singers, Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi. In a historic first, the opening ceremony will also feature the integration of cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology, along with a breathtaking light show powered by drones.

Under the guidance of Najam Sethi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is determined to elevate the PSL to new heights. Sethi emphasized the need to revitalize the PSL brand during his recent press conferences and announced the allocation of a larger branding budget, increasing it from $100,000 to a remarkable $1 million.

“The PSL 8 will be a seminal event for the PCB, taking place at four iconic venues and featuring the world’s best T20 cricketers in action. Our goal is to make the PSL bigger, better, and stronger than ever before and establish it as the premier T20 cricket event,” said Sethi.

With a talented roster of players, innovative technology, and a commitment to excellence, the PSL 8 promises to be a spectacular event for cricket fans worldwide.
