Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam continues to set multiple records every day. During the second test against Australia in National Stadium Karachi, Pakistan’s captain creates history on Day Five.
Babar Azam has been unable to score a century since his last test century in February 2020 against Bangladesh. He scored 196 runs in the fourth innings of the day against Australia. Surpassing his own previous best of 143 runs in the fourth innings of Test.
Babar’s knock of 196 runs is the highest test score by any Pakistani player in the fourth innings of a Test match. He is also the highest score by a captain in the fourth innings of a Test match. This was Babar’s sixth test century.
“We wanted to play normally till tea and then see the situation post-tea. I think if I had not lost my wicket, we would’ve opted for the mindset to chase the target,” said Babar Azam.
