Bangladesh Cricket Team is all set to tour the USA for a three-match T20I series in May. This series will mark the first time the two teams will clash in the shortest format of the game. Also, the series serves as a chance to provide practice to the teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The USA, set to co-host the World Cup along with West Indies will mark its first-ever appearance in the T20 extravaganza. As hosts automatically qualify for the ICC event, the USA will soon reap an advantage to mark their appearance, playing among well-known cricketing teams.
Also, it will be the second time the Bangladesh Cricket Team will play T20I matches in the USA. So far, they have played only two matches against the West Indies that date back to 2018.
As for the USA, they will also lock horns with Canada in a five-match series, preparatory for the all-important T20 World Cup 2024. All five matches are set to be played at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston.
Notably, the USA are placed in Group A along with formidable opponents like India, Pakistan, Canada, and Ireland. On the other hand, Bangladesh are in Group D along with Nepal, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.
Apart from the Bangladesh vs Ireland T20I series, a long list of encounters is loading before June, as all the participants gear up for the World Cup, beginning June 1st.
