The 9th and 10th matches of the BPL featured today conclude between Fortune Barishal vs. Chattogram Challengers and Rangpur Riders vs. Khulna Tigers The Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders won their respective matches in the 9th and 10th match of the BPL.
The first match of the day was played at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) Chattogram and featured the Fortune Barishal against the Chattogram Challengers. The Chattogram Challengers won the toss and elected to bowl first.
In the first match of the day, the Fortune Barishal managed to score 202 runs in their 20 overs while batting first. Iftikar Ahmed 57(26) was the top run contributor for the team. In an entertaining encounter, the Fortune Barishal ultimately came out on top, securing a victory.
Abu Jayed took three wickets each for the Chattogram Challengers, while Ziaur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Taijul Islam took one wicket each. With the help of Ziaur Rahman, who made 47 runs off 25 balls, Chattogram Challengers Couldn’t able to chased the target, only able to score 176-run target in the 20 over. Fortune Barishal win the match by 26 runs.
Karim Janat, Shakib Al Hasan, Khaled Ahmed and Kamrul Islam took one wicket each for Fortune Barishal. Iftikhar Ahmed was named Player of the Match for his 57 of 26 contribution for his team.
In the second match, Rangpur Riders vs. Khulna Tigers faced off at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) Chattogram, with Rangpur Riders winning the toss and electing to field first.
Khulna Tigers managed to post a total of 130/10 at the end of their 20 overs, with Azam Khan and Yasir Ali scoring 34 (23), and 25 (22), respectively.Robiul Haque took 3 wickets, While Azmatullah Omarzai, Hasan Mahmud and Rakibul Hasan each took two wickets for the Khulna Tigers.
In reply, the Rangpur Riders chase a target in the last over. Tigers scored 131/6 in 19.3 overs and won the game by 4 wickets. Shoaib Malik made 44 runs off 36 balls for the Rangpur Riders .
