Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on fire as Rangpur Riders and Sylhet Strikers seal their big victory today

The 29th and 30th matches of the BPL featured today conclude between Dhaka Dominators vs. Rangpur Riders and Sylhet Strikers vs. Khulna Tigers. The Rangpur Riders and Sylhet Strikers won their respective matches in the 29th and 30th matches of the BPL.

The first match of the day was played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet and featured the Rangpur Riders against the Dhaka Dominators. The Rangpur Riders won the toss and elected to field first.

In the first match of the day, the Dhaka Dominators managed to score 144 runs in their 20 overs while batting first. Usman Ghani 73(55) was the top run contributor for the team.

In an important encounter, the Rangpur Riders ultimately came out on top, securing a victory. Azmatullah Omarzai took 2 wickets while Rakibul Hasan and Mahedi Hasan took 1 wicket each for the Rangpur Riders.

Mahedi Hasan made 72 runs off 43 balls. The Riders scored 146/5 in 19 overs and won the game by 4 wickets. Salman Irshad took 1 wicket while Amir Hamza, Soumya Sarkar and Soumya Sarkar took one wicket each for the Dhaka Dominators. Mahedi Hasan  was named Player of the Match for his 72 of 43 and 1/13 contribution for his team.

In the second match, Khulna Tigers vs. Sylhet Strikers faced off at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Sylhet , with Khulna Tigers winning the toss and electing to bowl first.

Sylhet Strikers managed to post a total of 192/4 at the end of their 20 overs, with Towhid Hridoy and Zakir Hasan scoring 74 (49) and 53 (38) respectively. Mark Deyal took 2 wickets, while Nahidul Islam and Nahid Rana took 1 wicket each for the Khulna Tigers.

In reply, the Khulna Tigers couldn’t chase a target. Tigers only able to scored 161/9 in 20 overs and lose the game by 31 runs. Azam Khan made 33 runs off 17 balls for the Khulna Tigers.

Rubel Hossain took 4 wickets, While Mohammad Amir and Rejaur Rahman Raja took 1 wicket each for the Sylhet Strikers. Towhid Hridoy  was named Player of the Match for his 74 of 49 team contributions.
