New Zealand’s T20 squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh has seen a shakeup, with captain Kane Williamson and bowler Kyle Jamieson withdrawing due to injury concerns.

Williamson will undergo knee rehab following his recent return to action, while Jamieson’s hamstring injury requires targeted rehab for February’s Test series against South Africa.

Replacing the experienced duo will be young gun Rachin Ravindra and veteran pacer Jacob Duffy. Ravindra, known for his desire to learn and develop, adds fresh energy to the squad, while Duffy’s T20 experience and recent white-ball improvements strengthen the bowling attack.

Mitchell Santner steps up as captain in Williamson’s absence, taking the helm for the 15th time in his international career.

The BLACKCAPS T20 squad assembles in Napier on Boxing Day, ready to face Bangladesh in a series that promises exciting new talent and familiar faces alike.
