The 10th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) kicked off today, December 30, with excitement running high among cricket fans. However, notable changes have been made to the BPL 2025 schedule for December 31 matches due to traffic management directives issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
On December 31, the matches have been rescheduled to start 90 minutes earlier than originally planned. The adjustments are aimed at easing traffic congestion in Dhaka City on New Year’s Eve.
New Match Timings for December 31
- First Match: Khulna Tigers vs. Chattogram Kings
- New Time: 12 PM (noon)
- Second Match: Sylhet Strikers vs. Rangpur Riders
- New Time: 5 PM
The rescheduling ensures that the games are completed earlier in the evening, aligning with traffic regulations and maintaining the smooth flow of the city’s movement.
Ticket Information for December 31 Games
Since December 31 is a bank holiday, match tickets will not be available at the designated branches of Modhumoti Bank PLC. Instead, tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth of the National Swimming Complex in Mirpur, adjacent to the SBNCS indoor training facility.
This announcement comes as the tournament begins to pick up pace, with fans eager to witness thrilling cricket action across all participating teams.
The change shows the league’s commitment to balancing fan excitement with logistical considerations, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved.
