Adelaide Strikers’ foundation player Bridget Patterson has committed to the franchise for another two seasons, ensuring her presence through WBBL|11. The fan favorite, who has been with the team since the inaugural 2015 season, remains a vital figure in the Strikers’ setup.

Patterson’s experience and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the Strikers’ culture. Her performances in WBBL|10 underscored her value—most notably a match-winning 61 against the Brisbane Heat and a season strike rate of 124.44. Behind the stumps, her sharp reflexes and tactical awareness further cemented her reputation as a dual-threat player.
From Backup to Key Player
Initially a batter, Patterson seamlessly transitioned to full-time wicketkeeping in WBBL|09 after Tegan McPharlin’s retirement. Her adaptability and consistency have made her one of the league’s most dependable glovemen. Head Coach Luke Williams praised her influence: “Bridget’s impact transcends stats.
