The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is going to have its Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the year on the 14 and 15 of Falgun 2079 (26 and 27 of February 2023) in Surkhet. CAN has stated eight agendas for the AGM in a notice it published today among which “Nepal T20 League Related” is in the seventh agenda to discuss upon.
The Nepal T20 League which is also the first-ever franchise-based T20 league organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) got allegations of the match-fixing/spot-fixing and is already under investigation by different bodies and new news regarding it is coming continuously, one of which includes the cancellation of the agreement between the CAN and the commercial and strategic partner of the CAN during the inaugural Nepal T20 League, Seven3Sports.
Since the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has included an agenda related to the Nepal T20 League in its upcoming AGM, some new news regarding the league is expected from the AGM.
The AGM will start at 10.00 local time at Subha Hotel, Birendranagar, Surkhet.
