The 11th and the 12th matches of the Capricorn Eagles Quadrangular Series in Namibia concluded today with UAE Women and Uganda Women finding wins in their respective games, against Hong Kong Women and Namibia Women respectively.
In the match between UAE Women and Hong Kong Women, Hong Kong Women won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, UAE Women made 182 runs for the loss of four wickets in the first innings of the match with opener Theertha Satish making the most 93 runs in 60 deliveries. Esha Oza followed Teertha Satish with 38 runs in 35 deliveries.
Betty Chan took two wickets for Hong Kong Women with Ruchitha Venkatesh and Mariko Hill taking a wicket each for the team.
Hong Kong Women made 110 runs for the loss of six wickets in the second innings of the match. Marina Lamplough was the top run-scorer for the team in the chase with 33*(26).
Esha Oza took three wickets for UAE Women in the match with Indhuja Nandakumar, Vaishnave Mahesh and Khushi Sharma taking a wicket each for the team.
UAE Women won the match by 72 runs. Theertha Satish was the Player of the Match for her 93(60) while batting in the match.
In the match between Namibia Women and Uganda Women, Namibia Women won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Namibia Women made 77 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first innings of the match. Wilka Mwatile was the top run-scorer for the team in the match with 27* runs in 37 balls.
Irene Alumo and Concy Aweko took two wickets each for Uganda Women while bowling with Sarah Akiteng and Janet Mbabazi taking a wicket each for the team.
Uganda Women made 79 runs for the loss of six wickets in 18.4 overs to chase the target and win the match. Kevin Awino was the top run-scoring batter for the team with 28 runs in 48 deliveries.
