In today’s matches of the Malaysia T20 Quadrangular Series, Central Smashers (CEN) defeated Ghani Institute Of Cricket (GIO) by 4 wickets in the first match and Ghani Institute Of Cricket (GIO) defeated Northern Strikers (NOR) by 8 wickets in the second match.
In the first match today, between Central Smashers (CEN) and Ghani Institute Of Cricket (GIO), GIO won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, GIO made 106 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in 18.1 overs. Mohsin Riza was the high scorer for the team with 29 runs off 24 balls. Ibraar Afzal, Khizer Hayat Butt, Aalyan Salman and Malik Abdul Rafay were the other batters to score runs in double-digits in the match. Ibraar, Khizer, Aalyan and Malik scored 15, 13, 12 and 10 runs for the team.
CEN used seven bowlers to bowl against GIO in the game. Hasnain Ahmed and Ariff Jamaluddin took two wickets each in the game. Prashant Pawar and Hasnain Ahmed were the only other batters than Arrif Jamaluddin from CEN to score runs in double digits in the game. Prashant and Hasnain made 24 and 13 runs respectively.
GIO used five bowlers against CEN in the game. Asad Ali, Rao Muhammad Daniyal-Saleem, Muhammad Azeem Dar and Saad Wasim took 2, 1, 1 and 1 wickets each in the game. Siyam Khan didn’t have a wicket in the game. GIO conceded 5 extra runs in the game.
In the second match today, between Ghani Institute Of Cricket (GIO) and Northern Strikers (NOR), NOR won the toss and elected to bat first.
The match between GIO and NOR was affected and D/L was used in the game.
Batting first, NOR managed to make only 95 runs in 15.1 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Syed Aziz was the highest scorer for the team making 42 runs off 34 balls. Muhammad Amir Azim and Ahmad Faiz made 18 runs and 15 runs respectively in the game.
GIO used five bowlers against NOR in the game. Luqman Butt, Asad Ali and Akhtar Shah took two wickets each in the game for the team. Sheeraz Khan and Rao Muhammad Daniyal-Saleem went wicket-less in the game. GIO conceded 8 extra runs in the game.
