Craig Ervine, the experienced cricketer from Zimbabwe, has been appointed as the captain of Durban Qalandars for the inaugural Zim Afro T10 tournament. Durban Qalandars is owned by Lahore Qalandars, a franchise from the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Ervine recently led the Zimbabwe cricket team in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers held in their home country, narrowly missing out on qualification. Now, he will take on the responsibility of leading Durban Qalandars in the thrilling T10 format. The squad for Durban Qalandars includes notable players such as Sisanda Magala, George Linde, Asif Ali, Hazratullah Zazai, Mohammad Amir, Tim Seifert, Hilton Cartwright, Mirza Tahir Baig, Tayyab Abbas, Tendai Chatara, Brad Evans, Clive Madande, Nick Welch, and Andre Fletcher.
The team will gather in Harare on Sunday, July 16, where they will undergo three days of preparation before the commencement of the first edition of the Zim Afro T10 tournament on Thursday, July 20.
