Cricket Canada has announced the launch of a new Franchise-based T20 League called The Flower City T20 Cricket Premier League (FPLT20) that will have its inaugural edition in June 2023 in King City, Ontario.
The Flower City T20 Cricket Premier League (FPLT20)’s first edition will begin on 9 June 2023 and will run for 10 days to conclude on 18 June 2023. All the matches of the inaugural edition of the league are set to be played at Maple Leaf Cricket Ground which will feature six franchise-based teams.

The 2023 edition of The Flower City T20 Cricket Premier League will feature the following six teams:
- Brampton Riders
- Hamilton Wonders
- Mississauga Warriors
- Ottawa Falcons
- Toronto Lions
- Waterloo Kings
Each team in the league will comprise 15 players with 9 spots open to Canadian players and the remaining 6 for overseas professionals.
All the teams will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format followed by the semifinals which are again followed by the Final.
