Cricket Kenya is set to host the Women’s T20I Tri-Series in the coming December featuring Uganda Cricket and Qatar Cricket. The tournament will begin on 13 December 2022 and will run till 21 December 2022.
All three teams in the tournament, Kenya, Uganda and Qatar, will return to international matches for the first time since June 2022. While Kenya Women and Uganda Women played the 2022 edition of the Kwibuka Memorial T20I tournament in June 2022, Qatar Women lastly showed their presence in international cricket in the 2022 ACC Women’s T20 Championship in June 2022. The Kwibuka Memorial T20I tournament was held in Rwanda while the 2022 ACC Women’s T20 Championship event was held in Malaysia.
The Women’s T20I Tri-Series that is going to be held in Kenya consists of seven matches in total. Out of those seven matches, the first six matches will feature every participating team facing every other team twice. While the seventh one will be the final featuring the top two in the table after the end of the sixth match of the tournament.
While each team will face every other team twice from 13th December 2022 to 19th December 2022, the final will be held on 21st December 2022.
