New Zealand Super Smash T20

Dream11 becomes title sponsors of Super Smash T20

Dream11, India’s biggest sports game, has been confirmed as the naming rights partner for the 2019-20 men’s and women’s Super Smash competition and as a partner of NZC.

Already the official fantasy game partner of the IPL, the Big Bash League and the NBA (amongst others), Dream11 was founded in 2008 and can boast in excess of 70 million users.

The new partnership will allow cricket fans in New Zealand and around the world to engage more deeply with the Super Smash by creating their own fantasy teams on Dream11 and competing with their friends.

Broadcast live into India, this year’s Super Smash will be played from December 13 to January 19 at a dozen different venues and will comprise 64 matches – most of which will be staged as men’s and women’s double-headers.

NZC chief executive David White said the partnership with Dream11 would significantly increase fan engagement in the Super Smash and create massive exposure for those men and women who participate in it.

“This is an excellent development for our Super Smash competition; we’re delighted to attract a partner of the caliber of Dream11,” he said.

“NZC has been expanding its commercial footprint outside New Zealand and this is a good example of the potential of our domestic products and the opportunities they offer.”

A Dream11 spokesperson said the company was delighted to partner with Super Smash.

“Through this partnership, we will be able to bring New Zealand’s cricket experience to our 70 million-plus users and deeply engage them with the exciting T20 league,” he said.

“We’re sure to see good user traction for the league on our platform.”

Super Smash fans can involve themselves in the fantasy game by logging on at www.dream11.com, reading the instructions, and selecting their teams for each match. iOS and Android apps are also available to download.

The 2019-20 Dream11 Super Smash will commence on December 13 with the Central Stags playing the Knights at McLean Park Napier in a re-match of last season’s final, while the Canterbury Magicians take on, first, the Central Hinds, then the Auckland Hearts at Lincoln, and the Otago Sparks play the Wellington Blaze, also at Lincoln.
