England has announced the 16-man squad for a five-match T20 series against WestIndies. aul Collingwood and Marcus Trescothick Aas the coaches, announced the squad. The squad features eleven players who participated in this year’s ICC T20 World Cup. Two new faces have been added, George Garton, the bowling all-rounder, and left-arm seamer David Payne.
Eoin Morgan will be the coach for the English team in the T20 Internationals series against West Indies in January. Paul Collingwood will be the stand-in head coach while Marcus Trescothick will be the assistant coach for the five-match series. Eng vs WI series will start from January 22 to January 30. All the games will be played at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
This squad was selected, keeping the preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World 2022 in mind. Collingwood, the coach, said:
“We have selected a strong squad with some serious batting power and a balanced attack as we begin preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia.”
