England Women take a 7-wicket win in their World Cup Opener

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is underway in South Africa from 10 February 2023 and the second match of the tournament was played today between West Indies Women and England Women where England Women chase the target of 136 runs set by West Indies Women to win the match. With the win, England Women started their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 journey with a win.

West Indies Women had won the toss and elected to bat first, in the match played today.

Batting first, West Indies Women made 135 runs at the loss of 7 wickets with Hayley Matthews being the top run scorer for the team with 42 runs off 32 balls. Shemaine Campbelle followed Hayley with 34 urns off 37 balls.
