“Feeling sorry for Abrar Ahmed,” says Mohammad Hafeez

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez is disappointed with the team management for not giving a chance to uncapped spinner Abrar Ahmed in the ongoing T20I series against England.

Abrar Ahmed, the 23-year-old is part of the 18-member squad and Professor thinks he must have been given at least four games to show his talent. He concluded by advising the youngster to keep on working hard.

Mohammad Hafeez took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He tweeted, “Feeling sorry for Abrar Ahmed (mystery spinner) not to have a game so far in this series. He should have given four games in this series to showcase his bowling talent but….. keep working hard young man.”

Abrar Ahmed’s Cricket Career:

Abrar is the right-arm leg spinner who made his T20 debut for Karachi Kings in 2017. He made his first-class debut during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 2020 for Sindh. In 16 domestic T20 matches, Abrar Ahmed has taken 18 wickets at an economy of 7.62. He has also played 12 ODI’s and taken 17 scalps at an impressive economy of 4.55.
