The Adelaide Strikers have signed English all-rounder Georgia Adams post-draft, reuniting her with her Southern Brave Assistant Coach Luke Williams.
Adams, who only started playing cricket formally in her early teens, has developed into a leading wicket-taker, bowling off-spin. She also bats in the top order.
Adams was a key member of the Southern Brave team that won The Hundred this year, topping the competition’s wicket tally.
Williams said he was excited to have Adams on board, praising her adaptability and ability to perform under pressure.
Adams said she was over the moon to have the opportunity to play in the WBBL, which she described as the best franchise tournament around in the women’s game.
Adams is the third overseas signing for the Strikers in WBBL|09, after Laura Wolvaardt and Dani Gibson.
