Germany have started their tour of the Netherlands with two wins in the first day. Germany faced Austria in the first match of the day and they faced the Netherlands A in the second match. Austria are also touring the Netherlands currently for matches with Germany and the Netherlands A.
Germany in the first match of the day had won the toss and elected to bowl first and bowled out Austria for 114 runs in 19.5 overs while bowling first in the match. When SVE Barathi and MY Ashraf took three wickets for Germany and S Naqash took two wickets along with D Klein and GR Ahmadi picking a wicket each for themselves, Austria were summed for a middle score with the captain R Shigiwal playing the highest knock of 40 in 34 deliveries.
In F Bin Mubashir’s not out 37 off 37 and the captain V Ganesan’s 24 off 18, Germany chased the target of 115 runs in 17.1 overs losing four wickets and won the match by six wickets. AJ Iqbal took the most two wickets for Austria in the match with J Sadran and S Mornin taking a wicket each.
The second match of the day was between the Netherlands A and Germany where the Netherlands A started the first inning of the match after winning the toss. Netherlands A made a good score of 125 runs losing six wickets in the first inning of the match with their captain S Braat making the highest of 48 runs in 50 deliveries. A Jain followed S Braat with 22 runs in 22 balls. GR Ahmadi took two wickets for Germany in the match with D Klein, MY Ashraf and SVE Barathi taking a wicket each.
While MV Van Vliet took three wickets for the Netherlands A in the match, other bowlers from the team could not take wickets of Germany in the match. Germany chased the 126 runs of 18.4 overs with the captain V Ganesan making the most 46 runs in 42 deliveries. J Van Heerden followed V Ganesan with 28 runs in 31 deliveries. Germany won the match by seven wickets.
Germany started the tour with a solid start in the first day. Germany and Austria will meet again tomorrow in the first match of the day with the Netherlands A seeing Austria in the second match of the day.,
