The third match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) T20 concluded with UP Warriorz Women taking an amazing win over Gujarat Giants Women after Grace Harris played a fiery 26-ball 59* innings to guide her team to a win from a state of 58 runs needed off 19 balls, Sophie Ecclestone supported Grace Harris in the journey with a quick 12-ball 22 runs innings.
Gujarat Giants Women had won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.
Batting first, Gujarat Giants Women made 169 runs at the loss of 6 wickets from the 20 overs. Harleen Deol scored the most runs of 46 in 32 balls for the team to get to the score. Ashleigh Gardner followed Harleen Deol in most runs for the team in the match with 25 runs in 19 balls.

With the overs going tough for UP Warriorz, the game was going out of hands for the team and then something super impressive came from Grace Harris and Sophie Ecclestone for the team to win it in a solid style. They played a 70* runs partnership innings off just 26 balls to lead the UP Warriorz for the win. Grace Harris contributed 45(14) in the partnership and Sophie Ecclestone contributed 22(12). Grace Harris made 26-ball 56* runs in the match and Sophie Ecclestone made 22*(12). UP Warriorz Women made 175/7 in 19.5 overs to win the match by 3 wickets.
Kim Garth took five-for for Gujarat Giants Women in the match and became the second player to do so in the WPL. American Tara Norris booked the record for the first five-for of the league in the first match played today (check here). Annabel Sutherland and Mansi Joshi took a wicket each for Gujarat Giants Women in the match. Gujarat Giants Women conceded 14 extras to UP Warriorz Women while bowling in the match.
