The final match of the GPL T20 have concluded with MUG finding a 11-run victory over Headway. MUG have lifted the title in their name for the season.
MUG had won the toss and elected to bat first in the match. Batting first, they made 128 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Jude Wright made the most 30 runs for the team in the match from 39 deliveries followed by Ben Fitchet with 23 runs in 11 deliveries. Ollie Nightingale made 22 runs off 22 deliveries. David Hooper was the only other batter to score in double-digits who made 16 runs in 22 deliveries.
Tom Cheater took four wickets for Headway in the match with Martin-Dale Bradley and Dan Brown taking two wickets each. MUG had lost a wicket in a run out. Headway conceded 12 extra runs to MUG while bowling.
Headway made 117 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the second inning of the match. Nathan Le Tissier made the most 37 runs in 38 deliveries. Tom Nightingale made 31 runs for the team in 24 deliveries. Ben Ferbrache was the only other batter to score in double-digits in the match from the team with 22 runs off 19.
Adam Martel took four wickets for MUG in the match with Jude Wright, Dane Mullen and Tom Kirk taking 2, 1 and 1 wickets respectively. MUG conceded eight extras to Headway while bowling in the match.
MUG won the match by11 runs.
