Harmanpreet Kaur to lead India at the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup

India have named their squad for the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup, with Harmanpreet Kaur set to captain the side at the ICC’s mega event.

There are 2 changes to the squad which recently contested five T20Is against Australia, with Meghna Singh and Sabbhineni Meghana replaced by Pooja Vastrakar and Shikha Pandey.

Smriti Mandhana will serve as Kaur’s vice-captain while Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh will renew their battle for the gloves.

Prior to the tournament, India are due to contest a tri-series against South Africa and West Indies between January 19 and February 2. The seven-match series will take place at East London’s Buffalo Park.
