The Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs by 34 runs in the CPL 2023.

The Warriors posted an imposing total of 210/7, with fifties for Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul.

In reply, the Tallawahs’ top order succumbed to the bowling of Romario Shepherd, with five wickets falling inside the first seven overs.

A brilliant partnership between Imad Wasim and Fabian Allen saw the Tallawahs recover to 133/6, but the damage caused by those early wickets could not be repaired.

The Warriors were on top from the start of the match, and they never looked back after a strong PowerPlay.

Hetmyer and Paul were in excellent form, and they put on a display of aggressive batting that took the game away from the Tallawahs.

Shepherd then took control with the ball, and his early wickets put the Tallawahs on the back foot.

Allen and Imad Wasim tried to fight back, but they never got going, and the Warriors cruised to victory.

The Warriors are now unbeaten in three matches, and they are one of the favorites to win the CPL.
