Pakistanis marked the end of the month-long fast during Ramadan by celebrating Eid ul Fitr on Saturday. The day began with Eid prayer held shortly after the Fajr prayer, accompanied by sermons and large gatherings.
In the spirit of the occasion, many people took to social media to share pictures of their celebrations. Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Haris, and Saim Ayub, also shared their Eid looks on Twitter, engaging with their fans.
Here are some of the Eid pictures that were shared:
While the first Eid was celebrated in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and a few other parts of the world on Friday (April 21), Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and many other countries celebrated Eid on Saturday.
It’s worth noting that Pakistan is currently hosting New Zealand for five T20Is and as many ODIs. All the players were allowed to travel to their homes to celebrate Eid after the fourth T20I, which was a washout in Rawalpindi on Thursday (April 20). The players will reunite tomorrow in Islamabad before the fifth and series-deciding T20I on April 24.
