Earlier, while playing the third and final T20 I match against India, Tim David played a 54-run knock. Meanwhile, Cameron Green smashed a 21-ball 52 as Australia posted 186 for 7 in 20 overs. Axar Patel once again starred for India as he picked picking 3 for 33 in his four overs.
While chasing the target of 187, India lost the wickets of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma early in the innings but the Kohli-Suryakumar duo kept the side in the hunt. Suryakumar Yadav fell after a well-made 69 off 36-balls. Virat Kohli maintained his good record against Australia and brought up his 8th T20I half-century against Australia. Pandya found the gap for a four and India won the match and the series against Australia by 2-1
