Kuala Lumpur, February 2, 2025 – India Women Under-19s showcased a dominant performance in the final of the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup, outclassing South Africa Women Under-19s by nine wickets at the Bayuemas Oval. With a commanding display of batting and bowling, India secured the title in style, chasing down a modest target of 83 with 52 balls to spare, bringing home their second consecutive trophy of the tournament.
Opting to bat first, South Africa struggled to build momentum as India’s disciplined bowling attack dismantled their batting lineup. Opener Jemma Botha (16 off 14) provided a brisk start, but wickets fell at regular intervals, leaving the Proteas reeling. Mieke van Voorst fought back with a 23-run knock off 18 balls, but it wasn’t enough as South Africa were bundled out for just 82 in 20 overs.
India’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance, with all-rounder Gongadi Trisha leading the attack.
