India Women are through the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023

The 18th match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 got its final result in the DLS method after the match got affected by rain. As per the DLS method, Ireland Women who were chasing a target of 156 runs in 20 overs were 5 runs behind the DLS par score of 59 after 8.2 overs. Based upon the D/L method, India Women won the match by 5 runs and with 6 points in total from matches in the group stage, they became the third team to enter the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

India Women had won the toss in the India Women vs Ireland Women match that happened today and had elected to bat first in the game.

Batting first, India Women made 155 runs at the loss of 6 wickets with Smriti Mandhana scoring the most runs for the team in the game with 87 runs from 56 balls. Shafali Verma was the second most run-scorer for the team with 24 runs in 29 deliveries.

Renuka Singh had taken a wicket from her two overs in the second inning of the match. India Women conceded 4 extras to Ireland Women while bowling in the match.

After the rain didn’t stop till the cut-off time, the result was based upon the D/L method with India Women winning the match by 5 runs.

Smriti Mandhana was the Player of the Match for her 87(56) in batting.
