IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians find a win in SKY’s century, Rashid Khan’s fight couldn’t bring result for GT

The 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded with Mumbai Indians finding a win of 27 runs margin over Gujarat Titans. Surya Kumar Yadav became the first player to score a century for Mumbai Indians in IPL since 2014. Surya Kumar Yadav played a solid 103* runs of innings in 49 deliveries.

Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field first in the match.

Mumbai Indians who were invited to bat first in the match played in style to score a total above 200 runs in the game. With Surya Kumar Yadav’s 103* runs off 49 deliveries, the team made a total of 218 runs for the loss of five wickets in the first inning of the match. Surya Kumar Yadav was followed by Ishan Kishan with 31 runs in 20 deliveries as the second-most run-scorer for the team in the match.

Rashid Khan took four wickets for Gujarat Titans in the match with Mohit Sharma taking a wicket. Gujarat Titans conceded two extras to Mumbai Indians in the match.

Gujarat Titans started the second inning of the match with Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill. With Madhwal taking the wickets of both the openers and Jason Behrendorff taking the wicket of Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans were under pressure from the beginning. They were at the stage of 26/3 in 3.5 overs after the fall of the wickets of the top three-order batsmen of the team. Rashid Khan played the highest innings for the team in the match with 79* runs in 32 deliveries. Gujarat Titans made 191/8 in 20 overs.

Akash Madhwal took three wickets for Mumbai Indians in the match with Piyush Chawla and Kumar Kartikeya taking two wickets each. Jason Behrendorff took a wicket to join the wicket-taking party. Mumbai Indians conceded six extras to Gujrat Titans in the match.

Mumbai Indians won the match by 27 runs.
