CSK vs MI Tickets Appear on Black Market Before Official Release
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) fixture, one of the most highly anticipated matches of the season, is at the centre of a growing controversy. The match is scheduled for 23 March at Chennai’s iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium. However, despite CSK not yet releasing their official home game tickets, resale websites are already listing them at eye-watering prices.
Tickets Listed at Over ₹85,000!
Online resale platforms have capitalised on the demand, with listings showing tickets priced as high as ₹85,380 for a seat in the KMK Lower stand. According to Viagogo, a well-known ticket resale website, 84 tickets are currently available, with the lowest starting at ₹12,512.
A report by The New Indian Express reveals that tickets for the lower stands are being sold at ten times their original price, highlighting the extreme demand for this legendary rivalry.
Fans Frustrated as Ticket Scalping Surges
With ticket sales yet to officially begin, fans are expressing frustration over the growing trend of black-market resales. The massive mark-ups have sparked concerns that genuine supporters will be priced out of the experience.
CSK vs MI has long been one of the most awaited fixtures in IPL history, given the intense rivalry and the star-studded line-ups. The rapid resale at inflated rates only confirms its status as the most sought-after match of the season.
