The Saint Lucia Kings defeated the Barbados Royals by 90 runs in the 2023 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The Royals won the toss and elected to field, but they were unable to contain Johnson Charles, who scored 78 runs off 52 balls. The Kings also got contributions from Colin Munro (33) and Sikandar Raza (18) to post a total of 195/6.
The Royals’ chase never got going, as they lost their top five batsmen inside the PowerPlay. They were eventually bowled out for 105.
The win for the Kings sent them back to the top of the table, while the Royals will look to bounce back against the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the last game of the Barbados leg.
