The Highveld Lions is the name used by the combined Gauteng and North West first class cricket teams in South Africa. They play their home games at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
Highveld Lions crowned twice this title 2006-07 & 2012-13 respectively. Lions also had represented their country at Champions League T20 competition where they finished runner-up and lost to Sydney Sixers (Australia) They also participated in CLT20 for three times joint most with Cape Cobras by any other South Africa domestic Twenty20 team.
Team will be focusing on this year’s title and definitely had some plans to win it. They have a very good balanced side and have a look on their squad.
