Pakistani cricketers granted NOCs for various overseas T20 leagues will be seen lighting up global cricket stages in the coming months. With stars like Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim already household names in franchise cricket, their inclusion in The Hundred 2025 has stirred anticipation among fans.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cleared seven players for international franchise duty, opening doors for them to participate in leagues across England, the Caribbean, Australia, and Bangladesh. This move reflects PCB’s evolving approach towards accommodating players’ involvement in lucrative foreign leagues, especially for those outside the current national plans.

Among the names, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir will join Northern Superchargers in The Hundred from August 7 to 10. This marks their reunion on English soil following their retirement (again) from international cricket last year. They were roped in as replacements for unavailable overseas players—Ben Dwarshuis (Australia) and Mitchell Santner (New Zealand).
Mohammad Amir, continuing his franchise cricket hustle, will then travel to the Caribbean for the CPL 2025 from August 15 to September 22. Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed also earned NOCs for the CPL, with Iftikhar’s clearance beginning a day earlier (August 14).
Meanwhile, Sharjeel Khan, who has not played for Pakistan since 2021, gets a short window from August 15 to 25 to participate in Australia’s Top End T20 Series.
Looking further ahead, Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf have secured early approval for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Their NOCs will cover the tournament window from December 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
