Pakistan Super League (PSL) confirmed that Australian batting powerhouse David Warner and New Zealand pacer Tim Southee have entered the player draft for the league’s 10th edition. The confirmation was made through the league’s social media channels on Tuesday, generating buzz among cricket enthusiasts as the big event approaches. Both players come with a wealth of experience, and it will be interesting to see how much they are picked up in the draft.

David Warner is a name that shines bright in the world of T20 cricket, with a multi-franchise league career. This 38-year-old has played 110 T20 internationals for Australia, scoring more than 3,277 runs at a great strike rate of 142.47.

As an aggressive batsman, he has also had a great career in the IPL, scoring over 6,500 runs, including four centuries. He led Sunrisers Hyderabad to their first IPL title in 2016 and has played in leagues all around the world, from the BBL to the CPL. Warner is the 23rd foreign player to sign up for the PSL 10 draft.

New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee is also in equal praise. He is the highest wicket-taker in T20I history with 164 dismissals in 126 matches, which he achieved at 36. Southee has played for the top franchises in the IPL, The Hundred, and Vitality Blast. He has played for CSK, MI, and KKR in the IPL over a decade and has taken 47 wickets in 54 matches. Southee is the 22nd overseas player to enter the draft.

The PSL 10 draft will be held in Gwadar, Balochistan, for the first time in the history of the league.
