The 4th and the 5th matches of the SEA Games Men’s T20 Cricket Competition concluded with Malaysia and Cambodia finding a win each over Thailand and Singapore respectively.
In the match between Thailand and Malaysia played today, Malaysia won the toss and elected to field first.
Thailand who was invited to bat first in the match made 113 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the first innings of the match. Satarut Rungrueang with 46 runs in 32 deliveries was the top run-scorer for the team in the match.
Vijay Unni and Virandeep Singh took two wickets each in the match for Malaysia with Syazrul Idrus and Muhammad Amir taking a wicket each.
Malaysia made 114 runs in 12.3 overs losing two wickets while chasing the target and won the match by eight wickets. Syed Aziz and Virandeep Singh were the top run-scoring batters for the team with 55*(129) and 42*(33) each. Zubaidi Zulkifle with 15(11) was the only other batter from the team to score runs for the team.
Kamron Senamontree took two wickets for Thailand in the match while bowling.
Malaysia won the match by 8 wickets.
In another match played today, between Cambodia and Singapore, Cambodia won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Cambodia made 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Luqman Butt with 49 runs in 23 deliveries was the top run-scorer for the team in the match. Lakshit Gupta with 37 runs in 38 deliveries followed Luqman Butt in the list of the top run-scoring batters for the team in the match.
Adwitya Bhargava took four wickets for Singapore in the match with Avi Dixit, Amjad Mahboob and Anish Paraam taking a wicket each.
Singapore made 166 runs in 19.5 overs of the chase with no wickets left after 19.5 overs. Raoul Sharma with 42 runs from 24 deliveries was the top run-scoring batter for the team in the match followed by Amjad Mahboob with 38 runs in 21 deliveries.
Uday Hathinjar took three wickets for Cambodia in the match with Gulam Chughtai, Luqman Butt and Utkarsh Jain taking two wickets each.
Cambodia won the match by 15 runs.
