Malaysia finds 94 runs victory over Indonesia in the SEA Games Men’s T20 Cricket Competition

The second match of the SEA Games Men’s T20 Cricket Competition concluded with Malaysia taking a 94 runs victory over Indonesia.

Indonesia had won the toss and elected to field first in the match.

Batting first, Malaysia made 191 runs for the loss of six wickets with Virandeep Singh making a brilliant century in the match. He played a not-out 116 runs innings in the match in 62 deliveries. Opener Zubaidi Zulkifle was the second top run-scorer for the team in the match with 30 runs in 17 deliveries.

Danilson Hawoe and Gede Arta took two wickets each for Indonesia in the match with Maxi Koda and Kadek Gamantika taking a wicket each. Indonesia conceded six extras to Malaysia while bowling in the match.

Indonesia who were chasing the target of 192 runs started their innings with Muhaddis Muhaddis and Anjar Tadarus. Muhaddis made 3(9) in the match with Anjar making 37(38). Anjar was the top run-scorer for the team in the match with 37 runs. Ahmad Ramdoni followed Anjar with 20* in 19 deliveries.

Virandeep Singh took two wickets for Malaysia in the match with Vijay Unni and Sharvin Muniandy taking a wicket each. Malaysia conceded three extras to Indonesia while bowling in the match.

Malaysia won the match by 94 runs. Virandeep Singh was the Player of the Match for his 116*(62) while batting and 2/15 while bowling in the match. With the win, Malaysia tops the points table of the series with two points and 4.700 NRR. Indonesia with two points and -1.550 NRR is at the second position of the points table followed by Thailand who played a match in the series, against Indonesia, and have no points in the points table till now.
