Malaysia Women restrict Myanmar Women to 24 runs in the SEA Games Women’s T20 Cricket Competition

The 9th match of the SEA Games Women’s T20 Cricket Competition concluded today with Malaysia Women taking an 82 runs victory over Myanmar Women after restricting Myanmar Women to 24 runs in the second inning of the match.

Malaysia Women had won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.

Batting first, Malaysia Women made 106 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the first inning of the match with Winifred Duraisingam playing the highest knock for the team in batting with 29 runs in 39 deliveries. Wan Julia followed Winifred Duraisingam with 22 runs in 41 deliveries.

Khin Myat took four wickets for Myanmar Women in the match with Theint Soe and Zon Lin taking two and 1 wickets respectively. Myanmar Women conceded 21 extras to Malaysia Women while bowling.

Myanmar Women in the chase of 107 runs got all-out at 24 runs in 11.5 overs. Zon Lin who played a not-out 10 runs of innings in 12 deliveries was the only batter from the team to score in double-digits.

Ainna Hamizah Hashim took five-for for Malaysia Women in the match with Aisya Eleesa taking two wickets. Nur Dania Syuhada and Mahirah Izzati Ismail took a wicket each to join the wicket-taking party. Malaysia Women conceded seven extras to Myanmar Women while bowling.

Malaysia Women won the match by 82 runs against Myanmar Women.
