Liam Livingstone is now the No.1-ranked men’s T20I allrounder following an impressive Player of the Series performance against Australia. The England all-rounder surged past Marcus Stoinis, climbing seven places to claim the No. 1 spot.

Livingstone’s dominant showing saw him score 124 runs and take five wickets in two matches. Unfortunately, the third and final game of the series at Old Trafford was washed out due to rain. Batting higher in the order at No. 4, Livingstone took full advantage of his new role, smashing an 87 off 47 balls in the second match, helping England secure a key victory. In the first T20I, he contributed 37 runs and picked up three wickets for just 22 runs.

His move up the batting order marked a shift from his role as a finisher during the T20 World Cup. Livingstone described the change as a crucial opportunity to stake his claim and win games for England. He expressed his desire to take on greater responsibility for the team’s success. His all-around skills, particularly his partnership with Adil Rashid, proved vital as the spin duo helped England counter Australia’s aggressive starts.

Livingstone’s all-round excellence has also earned him a recall to England’s ODI squad, where he will replace the injured Jos Buttler in the upcoming five-match series against Australia. His growing importance as a key player for England continues to solidify his place in the team.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Travis Head maintained his top spot in the T20I batting rankings after scoring 90 runs across two innings. Adam Zampa also made gains, moving up in the T20I bowling rankings.
